This dish has been cut from spalted birch and hand carved. 

I have carved the pansies and leaves in relief then painted them to bring the carving out more.

 I have used a jacaranda colour pastel mixed with a liquid medium to create a workable paint to colour the pansies a pretty purple. 

The the entire dish has been sealed with a water-based varnish.

It measures approximately 15cm x 9.5cm with an internal depth of approximately 1.5cm
